Residential Site Classification

Professional residential soil testing and site classification for foundation design

If you are building a house or a major renovation, you will need a soil test. A site classification involves a thorough investigation including a desktop study, field sampling, and laboratory testing of the foundation material for residential buildings. Foundation material being the substrate that supports footings and slabs.

The results provide guidance on the design of footing and slab systems around predicted movement of the foundation material due to moisture change and the strength of the foundation material relative to moisture content.

Our work is done to the Australian Standard AS2870 Residential Slabs and Footings.

Our NATA accredited laboratory is accredited for a wide range of tests on soil, concrete, and aggregate.
