OUR SERVICES:

Waste Classification

We offer specialist services in waste classification and characterisation reports.

Waste is defined as any substance that causes an alteration in the environment including any surplus material. In the construction industry this includes any fill material generated from or imported to a site.

It is the responsibility of the generator of the waste to meet the waste classification and characterisation legislative requirements and it is the responsibility of the consumer of the waste to maintain records of re-use.

The classifications and characterisations typically applicable to the construction industry include Virgin Excavated Natural Material (VENM), Excavated Natural Material (ENM), General Solid Waste (GSW), Restricted Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste, and Special Waste.
